It costs 10 times as much to develop a drug as it did 30 years ago, and a 100 times as much as it did 60 years ago. As a result hundreds of potentially life-changing drugs don’t get tested. Ibs says as an industry we talk about the need to adopt game-changing technology to do more clinical trials. He crosses multiple time zones every month to promote a transformational change in the way pharma runs clinical trials through collaboration, standardization, and modern technology to make trials smarter, faster and more economical.
We’re not there yet, but Ibs says we’re getting closer every day.
