Software Engineering Lead/Manager

Through a combination of smart technology and unique relationships, DrugDev is transforming the way that clinical trials are run. Our software helps bring new drugs to market faster and we enable companies to do more trials. We are hiring an accomplished Software Engineering Lead/Manager to help us scale through our next phase of growth. You will play an integral role in our future success as we evolve and expand the scope of our software.

We need someone who will:

  • Roll with the punches, be flexible and unflappable in a fast moving, high performance engineering team
  • Mentor and coach high potential junior engineers and help them become high performing and awesome engineers
  • Bring technical thought leadership in either microservices architecture, front end development (Angular, React or Ember) or Ruby on Rails
  • Care deeply about recruiting, culture, people and performance management
  • Lead a team to hit deliverables and be accountable for your team’s performance

And will bring:

  • Agile experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to successfully work with cross functional teams in Program Management, QA, Product and UX
  • Track record of building, growing, leading and managing successful software engineering teams
  • Experience developing usable, scalable, secure SaaS solutions
  • Hands-on experience in web application development using Ruby on Rails or similar web frameworks
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
