Business Solutions Analyst

The business solutions analyst will manage production maintenance for the current payments platform. They will work with the end users to help identify opportunities for system enhancements that will improve process flows and efficiency. They will manage enhancements through the SDLC process to ensure programming meets the end user criteria and enhancements are successfully released into the production environment. The business solutions analyst will track recurring system issues and identify training needs. They will assist in knowledge sharing between the operations and payments teams. They will administer external admin access within the payments platform.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Hold meetings with the end user to understand their needs and identify areas for system improvement.
  • Assist in managing system enhancement requests made by the payments team and help prioritize them
  • Establish user requirements for enhancements to the existing payments system
  • Manage enhancements through the system development life cycle
  • Manage level 2 system cases to identify areas of training, system or process issues
  • Conduct implementation training and produce documentation as needed
  • Manage and perform admin functionality within the payments system
  • Ensures system knowledge sharing by training key personal and providing support
  • Provide support and guidance to Payment Department when questions arise as it relates to systems

Minimum Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Accounting, Finance or Business or related field
  • Prior pharmaceutical clinical trial experience specifically grant payment or contract activities is preferred
  • Working knowledge of accounting applications for invoicing and accounts payable
  • Experience using SAP-Business One, or other ERP system
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze, interpret and communicate end user system needs
  • 1+ years of experience working in the Payments application
  • Strong knowledge of payments processes and controls
