Our History

Site Selection

DrugDev was founded in 2009 by Melissa Easy after identifying inefficiencies in the process of matching clinical trial doctors (investigators) to pharmaceutical protocols. The company started with a network of cardiologists, and has since grown through referral and invitation into the world’s largest investigator network and data sharing platform. Today our network reaches more than 80,000 active investigators in 115 countries, all of whom have interest in clinical trial opportunities.

Site Payments and Activation

In 2013, DrugDev acquired CFS Clinical (CFS), the leading standalone provider of investigator grant payments with over $2 billion in grants paid around the world, and a major provider of contract and regulatory document management services. By integrating CFS’ payment platform with DrugDev’s investigator network, DrugDev created the first and only centralized solution for finding, engaging and paying over investigators around the world.

Trial Conduct

In May 2014, the company acquired the award-winning study platform, DrugDev TrialNetworks. The innovative technology helps sponsors, CROs and sites work together more effectively by optimizing clinical operations from startup through closeout. The unified platform includes solutions for learning management, site engagement, document exchange and more.

eConsent and Patient Solutions

In November 2016, DrugDev acquired SecureConsent, the definitive eConsent solution as the backbone of its Patient Solutions business unit which also includes Patient Engagement.
